Installing for dummies

The problem is…
My friend told me I needed WordPress and gave me the link. SO I downloaded it. Now I have all these files, none of which is an .exe file and none is an install file. So I read the instructions to do this in 5 minutes, but alas, as instructions go, you are way over my dummy head. Like the alphabet starts with “A” and goes to “Z” but most techies start their instructions at “M” assuming I actually know what “A-M” is already.

My freind also told me this was a simple WYSIWYG program, but the instructions are not WYSIWYG, so here I set…
Anyone know how to guide me from A-M????
