installing files fatal error for .xml file

Hi – have been on the phone all morning with bluehost support and they said CALL WORDPRESS. I am getting the following error when trying to import the xml file:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 7680 bytes) in /home6/applecru/public_html/wp-admin/import/wordpress.php(385) : runtime-created function on line 1
… and various configuration of this “fatal error” when I keep trying.

The bluehost support said to tell you that we have increased the max. post and max upload size to more than the .xml file size. Also that what the error is saying to change in those lines doesn’t exist – there is no match.

Can you help? or give me a number to call at wordpress for help.
