Installing Beta gives "Fatal Error"

    Hi,

    I tried to install the Beat (1.0) version – “installed” ok but when I clicked the “Activate” button I got this error message:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/fhlinux132/s/stalvies.net/user/htdocs/news/wp-content/plugins/wp-tiles/wp-tiles.php on line 79

    Any ideas?

    Hi Ian,

    The new WP Tiles uses a PHP feature that is only supported from PHP 5.3. It should simply give you a warning that your PHP version is not supported, instead of causing a fatal error!

    Unfortunately, you would need to upgrade your PHP version if you want to switch to the new WP Tiles.

    Thank you for letting me know about the error, though, I will look into the setup of the plugin and make sure that it gives a warning instead of throwing fatal error on activation!
