Installing another blog in subdomain affecting SEO?

    I just installed another blog in a subdomain of my site. It is password protected as I’m using it as a demo for a project I have.

    I noticed that my visits dropped dramatically, and those regular posts I had that came from common search terms have had not even one visit in the past days.

    Could this be that the other blog in the subdomain is affecting my SEO?

    Nevermind, the install affected the permalink structure and it the posts would lead to a 404 page, that’s why no pages but the homepage generated visits.
