I am creating a www.remarpro.com site for a Domestic Violence body and they would like to have a message showing on every page that alerts visitors that if they are in danger they can press an “escape” button and go to an innocuous site like google.com.

So there needs to be facility to put some text and a button together that shows on every page.

Make a sidebar widget with the link you want. Should work fine.

Thanks Ipstenu
Would you be able to be a bit more specific? What kind of widget? A text widget? And how do you insert a link into it?

I am a newbie.

TIA

A text widget with

Escape! in it would probably do ??

Thanks

Actually this is what I needed. It is a plug in called WP Utility Short Codes by Pippin

It lets me do exactly what I want with a box and a button.

I’ve now found the Special Text Box plug-in and that is even better although I am having formatting problems with the rest of my sidebar now.
