Installing a Theme – GoDaddy WordPress Hosting

  • Hello,

    I am hoping there is a quick fix to this! Searched the Forum and not finding exactly what I need but if it’s already out there, please just point me to it instead of re-explaining… ??

    I have WordPress hosing on GoDaddy, so it’s already installed. I uploaded a purchased theme to wp-content/themes (it’s not nested or anything). It’s not showing up in my Available Themes … any ideas on what I’m doing wrong?

  • How exactly did you upload the theme? ?? did you unzip it or just upload the zip file?

    Let me know in detail what you did and I’ll try and help you trouble shoot! ??

    the easiest way to install a theme, would be from your admin panel, just go to appearance -> themes -> add new

    It can all be done from there

    I assume you uploaded within the godaddy interface? you have the right location, did you unarchive the theme in there? folder and file structure look OK?

    wp-content
    |_themes
    |___your theme (unarchived)
    |_______all files (index.php, style.css, etc)
