Installing a new theme & get white screen with a 0

  • I am trying to install a new theme to my website and when I preview it I get a white screen with a 0 in the top left corner. Is this the white screen of death people talk about? I really want to use this theme but I’m not sure if I need to update my wordpress version or uninstall my current theme or something like that get it to work correctly.

    Any advice? I pretty much have no idea what I’m doing. ??

  • This theme is likely either old, improper or even worse = malicious – using an FTP Tool such as FileZilla or your host provided File Manager, remane that theme folder to old-theme_name and make sure the unedited default theme is in place – run your site
