Installing a new theme

Do I go to Hostgator to create this folder?

I can create a directory, but there is no mention of a folder!

Folder = directory ??

DUH! Why didn’t they say so? Done!

Back again! How do I reset the plugins folder?

Follow the same directions I gave for the theme folder.

esmi – I am soooo frustrated! This morning, I uninstalled then reinstalled WordPress! The Theme thing was driving me crazy! It took 1 1/2 hrs working with Hostgator to get it installed! So this morning, in the Themes ares, there was an Install to the right of the “Manage Themes” area! But this afternoon, that Install has disappeared! AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH! What do I do now? There is a certain theme I want to install to go with new software I have installed, and now I can’t get figure out how to do that!

There’s no way it should take 90 minutes to install WordPress. Tell your hosts that you want to move to another server. Or consider changing hosts.

Apparently there were file problems that had nothing to do with WordPress.
However, I still can’t install (or look for) new themes! How do I do that now?

Then that server has problems. Unless you want to install all themes, plugins & updates manually, you really need to look at moving server.
