    Point both installations to the same database, just make sure that database prefix for both installations is different.

    Just enable multisite feature of WordPress. If you don’t want that, sinip’s answer is correct.

    You can install 2 WordPress with the same database. There are 2 ways to do this:

    1. Enable multisite feature of WordPress. The two sites will be working with same installation of WordPress.
    2. Use same database credentials while installing the two WordPress but just change database prefix, such as wp_ and wp2_ This will create two sets of tables with different prefix in the same database.

    Yes, you can do it. All you need to do is to enable multisite feature of WordPress. I had use this few months back but i did not know how to run it at a time.
