That wasn’t very informative. I’ve tried it on wp 4.2.2 and 4.3 and on Duplicator 5.2.2 and 5.2.8. I’ve used it many times in the past to clone our live website to the development one without issue. Hosting co assures me no changes have been made to the containers or access. Reverting to the old clone directory shows php working. I have recently changed from php to mysqldump, because the package build was timing out.

An installer-log.txt file is created, but remains zero length.

    Hey John,

Hmm… Never seen that one before. Bad gateway looks like an Apache error. A quick google seems to indicate that as well… I’m not sure to be honest?

    Sorry, I couldn’t be of much help…

    Hi Cory,

is there any debug option I can turn on in the installer file to get an idea of where the script is hanging/failing?

Not really apart from placing die() statements in the script. When do you get the BAD_GATEWAY error, when you browse to the installer or when you click build button?

    Hi Cory,

holiday intervened. The error occurs when I browse to the installer.php file. The build seems to work fine. The new version gives an extra warning and requires a check to continue.

I reran an earlier package that I know worked previously and that suffers the same fate, so that says to me my hosting co have changed something that is causing the problem.

I’ll beat them up some more. Thannks for your help.

Yep, budget hosts can change things out from under-you without notice… If you find out what it is let me know…

    Cheers~
