Installed WP control but booking reminder notification in MEC doesn’t work

We have contacted the support team at Webnus/Modern event calendar (MEC), regarding the issue that the booking reminder notification doesn’t work. We have installed WP control, and have configured the settings for the reminder notification in MEC correctly.

We have installed the plugin WP crontrol, but it still doesn’t activate the reminder notification. Could you have a look? It seems like WP Crontrol plugin is working fine, and that it’s the reminder function in MEC where the problem lies, but !’m not sure.
