Installed wordpress, waiting for dns, is it safe to edit?

  • Hi all, I just got my domain and hosting and installed wordpress.
    My dns hasn’t updated yet but I can view my site through kproxy.com, would it be safe to login to my admin panel there and work on it until my dns updates? Also, when I installed it I included some login limiter plug in for security, are there other plugins that I should add to be safe? Thank you for your help. Ian

  • Personally, I always think it’s worth waiting until your DNS has fully propagated before going any further. Otherwise, you might just end up very annoyed & frustrated.

    In terms of running a secure WordPress site, I would recommend that you start by reviewing Hardening_WordPress.

    I installed the all in one wordpress security plugin, any experience with it?

    That’s not a plugin I have used myself.

    It was mentioned in the link you provided. I’ll give it a try. What are your personal must have plugins?
