Installed Wiki Inside WP File Structure

    My hosting wp installation filepath:
    root/websitefolder/wpfiles

    My hosting wiki installation:
    root/websitefolder/wikifolder/wikifiles

    Did I make a mistake installing the wiki next to, but not in, sub directories of WP?
    Will is be erased or broken when I update WP?
    Both are new installs but I’ve put a lot of work already into my wiki and I don’t want to lose it. Wikimedia is not userfriendly for beginners and moving it sounds like a huge task for me.
