    Hi

I’m using https://localwp.com/ to locally host my server since it is still under development. I’m using the Astra Version: 3.9.1 Theme.

A few moments ago I chose to update the woocommerce plugin. For some reason it failed and said “Was not able to delete/remove old version” something like that.

Now wordpress doesn’t show woocommerce in my installed plugins page and I’m not able to re-install.. error “destination folder already exist”.

What should I do now and is all my work regarding woocommerce lost?

    Hi @ronicke

    This usually happens either when:

    a) a previous attempt to delete the plugin or theme didn’t succeed, and it left the plugin/theme folder behind.
    b) a previous installation attempt was interrupted and left an empty destination folder.

You’ll need to FTP into your site and manually remove the folder, then do the install once again.

You can find a guide that outlines how that is done, here:

What should I do now and is all my work regarding woocommerce lost?

Your settings should be retained in your database.

    Cheers!
