Installed, but old site still showing up?

  • Hi all

    Very new (today) to wordpress.

    I have just installed wordpress onto my domain, which I began developing using wysiwyg web builder last week, but have now decided to learn wordpress instead. I’ve run through the installation page and everything, and got to the wp dashboard. Even changed my theme… but my old wysiwyg web builder site is still showing up.. not the new one :/

    Is there something simple I have missed here?

    I didn’t remove any of the old files out of my ftp thingy before adding wordpress, so now I’m not sure which are wp files and which are not, but to be honest there wasn’t much in there from what I remember except for a couple of images. If I’m allowed to show you my site, it’s; bookabrainbreak.com

    Have you tried deleting your old site’s pages? Especially any index.htm or index.html files?

    Thanks esmi… deleted a few weird files, didn’t work, deleted the lot, started again.. works now at last! Thank you!

    I was going to say it could of been because of database.
