    Hi,

This is how the install usually works:

    1. Use the host web-panel to access your site
    2. create /or request your webhost a database
    3. make sure you write down things like database name, databasehost, database password etc.
    4. Download a new version of WP [in your preferred language] to your PC
    5. FTP: Access your [empty] domain using FTP e.g. https://filezilla-project.org/download.php [free]
    6. FTP: Upload all WP-files to the root of the web publication folder e.g. ../http or ../www or ../web
    7. browser: type your domainname e.g. https://www.mydomain.com
    8. The ‘5-minute wp-installation’ will start
    • Please enter the details required such as
      databasename
    • database username
    • database password
    • hostname
    • admin-username and password
    • Now WP will start, installing the site
A ‘standard’site with standard-theme will install, creating a functional site for you
    • browser: check result: browser: type your domainname e.g. https://www.mydomain.com
    • Now login as adminitrator: browser: type your domainname e.g. https://www.mydomain.com/wp-admin
    • Start creating your site…
    • == == ==
If something went wrong in the above process, just start over [it only takes 5 minutes].

    1. FTP: erase the content of the web folder
    2. Upload a NEW version of the WP installation files
    3. Browser: type your domainname e.g. https://www.mydomain.com
    4. Follow the instructions on screen

Sorry – but yes, you did! It’s part of the default WordPress installation process. Try reviewing:

yes and it says you already installs wordpress and there is a button called login
and when i click on it it brings me to the screen for admin login but i have not setup my admin name or admin password anywhere that is the problem i have been trying to tell

i mean even when i try “lost your password” button and try all my emails i can think of it doesnt work because first of all i didnt enter any email address anywhere.

again, where can i enter my admin username password and email address so that i can login from the admin login panel?

After you installed WordPress, you should have received an email from WordPress. It contains the username and password that you are looking for to gain entry to your dashboard. If you don’t find it in your inbox, check your spam folder. It should appear as “no-reply@” your site name.

i didnt receive any email even to junk folder anytime.

Into your mail box ( hotmail, gmail, etc ) maybe ?

What mail adress you add when you install WordPress ?

    Thread Starter ketanco

    (@ketanco)

i didnt add any email address because no screen came up to add them. now where can i add my email address? admin user name and admin password? which file?
