Installed and activated, but cannot access

I just installed and activated version 2.0 of BuddyPress, but I can’t seem to access the settings. There is no link for it under the settings in the dashboard.
I installed it from the dashboard first, then I disabled all other plug-ins in case there was a compatibility issue. When that didn’t work, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling BuddyPress manually, but with no luck.
Frankly, I’m at a loss. Can anyone help?
