Installed 2.9: Now cannot add new pages or posts

  • I just minutes ago ran an automatic update to WP 2.9. I’ve since tried adding new pages and posts, and when I hit the “publish” button I get a message saying that my attempt to edit page “xyz” or post “xyz” has failed. Any clue what’s wrong?

    Update: I’ve since determined that pages and posts won’t publish without previewing first. Is this expected behavior? Or a setting somewhere I can change?

    In my own case, I can post between 250 words and 260 words. Anything over that, the system is showing error message.

    Can somebody help on this?

    I am having the same problem. It’s saving in the system and when I go back in and edit it will go through, but I have to reset the categories and author.

    Would love to hear a solution for this….I am having the same problem!

    i had the same issue, and was advised (here on the forum) to turn off ALL plugins and turn them back on one by one to determine which one might be causing the issue….

    in my case the culprit was Twitter Tools.

    Yup. Twitter Tools it is. Hopefully there will be an upgrade soon with that plugin. Right now, we have to just bite the bullet there.
