I’m struggling to get WordPress working for my site. I’ve downloaded all files, created a data base, ftp’d wordpress files – but the page still remains as the host.

The website is https://www.creativejam.design. I’m really not web-savvy, so please excuse me if I’m missing something very obvious!

    Many thanks

but the page still remains as the host.

Check and see if there is an index.html file in your site’s root directory. Some hosts put one in there as a default, and wordpress doesn’t remove it when
it’s being installed. If you see it there, delete or rename it to allow wordpress’ index.php to work, and see if it fixes the problem (but do not alter the index.php file).

Hi Tara, many thanks for your help. Unfortunately, no index.html there. It almost feels like its picking up the files from a different location to those that I’m changing, is that possible? I only say so, as the host landing page hasn’t changed throughout my trail and error-ing.

It looks like your domain is still parked. Have you checked your nameservers at your registrar? They should be pointing to the server where your site files are residing.

firstly check setup file …error and remove it, then install again…then this problem automatilly will be solve…

    Hi reativeames,
