Installation of WordPress on local host join with Domain

    I have installed WordPress 2.8.6 on my local machine when I open https://localhost its work great but when I open from another network html source show me https://localhost/wp-content/themes/mytheme/style.css so its obvious that I cant see a proper web page but when I chaged few lines in WP_Options and replace localhost with my domain name xyz.com then its working fine but I cant access my own local WordPress from my local machine.

    How can I Join my local WP with public domain, Can anyone please fix my issue?

    2nd question which server is good for wordpress XAMPP, WAMPServer or Plesk? I am using WAMPServer

  • two things:

    1. localhost wont work if you want the site to be accessible to people other than you.

    2. using a domain only works if the domain is actually pointed to the IP that youre trying to use it on.

    that means that your machine has an IP and that the domain you are attepting to use must point to that IP (thats done via nameservers)

    I have one domain XYZ.com and nameservers are working fine with XYZ.com. I can access my XYZ.com from other network if I use XYZ.com in WP-OPTIONS as URL but I cant access my WP from same machine when I try to open XYZ.com then IE ask me my router password and when I tried to open localhost then IE not responding me. How can I access my WP from same machine if its install on XYZ.com in WP-OPTIONS as a URL.
