Installation of 3.4.2 is broken

    Tried installing 3.4.2 on local wamp server (windows 7 64 bit,wampserver2.2e-php5.3.13-httpd2.2.22-mysql5.5.24-x64) and WP gets confused with the URLs for the site. It can find the admin login page OK, but the home page and any other pages return a 404.

    The first time I installed it my site URL was saved as https://webyog.comhttps://webyog.com – webyog just happened to be a site I had been to before installing.

    The second time I installed, after a reboot, it set the URL to https://localhost/https://localhost/

    I then tried to install 3.4 and it installed perfectly first time!

    Between the install of 3.4.2 and 3.4 I changed my default browser to Firefox, instead of IE 9.

    It appears that my install IE 9 is a bit flakey! (I can’t access the internet when wamp is running)

    So, I re-installed 3.4.2 using Firefox and all is good! (Apart from wasting an afternoon ;^) )

    Just the final word on this, I deleted wamp and re-installed the same version and everything seems to be working now – touch wood!
