Installation Login Failing Permission Error

  • I have installed a wordpress installation and using a testing url until the A-record has propagated. The site looks correct but I am unable to log into my dashboard. I’ve searched and tried multiple ways but to know avail. Need help desperately. The testing url is

    https://www.ergentcare.com.php53-28.dfw1-2.websitetestlink.com/

    This is the error message
    You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.

    I’ve google solutions but none work.

  • Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.

    When I change it to the twenty eleven theme then the testing url goes all white. I tried moving all the plugins to a different folder that did not work.
