Most web hosts have tutorials and FAQ’s on how to manage your database. It’s not uncommon to find detailed or often times, even video guidance in your hosts knowledge base. They should help you to understand how to get started using the database administration tools located in your hosting account control panel. A quick contact with your hosts support staff might also get you pointed towards their collection of how to and getting started documentation for managing your new web space.

Was that quote from the installation guide? If so I don’t see that there.

    Who is your webhost?

You should have some kind of installer to install wordpress script in couple minutes.

What is the Step 2 you’re talking about, @garrettsandberg? Which guide are you using?
