  • Hi I got confused with this too – Its not vey obvious but the page where you paste the list id from mail chimp – ‘Manage List Forms’ from the dashboard is where the short code is generated. Look at the top of the frame and you’ll see

    Shortcode [yks-mailchimp-list id=”cbbcbcbcbc”]
    Snippet
    Mailchimp List Id
    Active Fields

    Its not very obvious but its there and it will work.

    Yes andrewlee1 is right, you paste the short code where ever you want your form to show up in a post or page. The snippet version is for WordPress templates at the code level.

    I’m sorry this was not clear. I am going to add it to our to-do list that we update our FAQ and Manage List Forms page to make is clearer.

    I still can’t figure out how to post the form.

    Which part of the code are you supposed to enter? Just the Shortcode?

    And exactly how/where do you enter it if you want to use it as a widget?

    The instructions are incredibly vague/non existent.

    For example if your shortcode is [yks-mailchimp-list id=”123456″] the part you paste into a post or page is

    [yks-mailchimp-list id=”123456″]

    By default, WordPress does not allow you to use shortcodes in widgets. There are a lot of Mailchimp widgets out there, which is why we made a plugin that allows you to add forms to posts or pages.
