• My theme developer, Theme Fusion, developers of the Avada theme, warned against making any changes to the core files. The plugin is not working at all, I assume because I have not added the php code to the core file. Is there any other way to get it to work?

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

    The plugin is not working at all

    I cannot help you with so few information. Did you read the FAQ ?

    Yes. Your installation includes some code you are to add to one of the WP core files, but Theme Fusion recommends against this. It will also be overwritten with any theme upgrades. I was only asking if this code is essential for the plugin to work?

    Hi,

    Your installation includes some code you are to add to one of the WP core files

    Where did you see that ? You have no code to use. The only code mentioned is the login code (para TERTIO) but before to get there, there are 6 other possibilities.

    Just add 2 shortcodes in the page of your choice : [rencontre] & [rencontre_libre].

    Add this small code in your header.php file (or other one…), next to the menu :
    <?php Rencontre::f_login(); ?>
    or
    <?php Rencontre::f_login(‘fb’); ?>
    to have Facebook too.

    Yes, but if you read before :

    Select one or more of these possibilities :

    1. …
    …/…
    7. Add this small code in your header.php file (or other one…), next to the menu :
    <?php Rencontre::f_login(); ?> or
    <?php Rencontre::f_login(‘fb’); ?> to have Facebook too.

    So, you should not use this code if one of the six others possibilities works.

    Yes, I was only asking because if you look at the page there is nothing but “logout” showing. That’s why I asked if I had to use the php code.

    Hi,

    If you see LOGOUT, you are connected to your WordPress. If you see LOGIN, you are not connected. This is the same button.

    I am honestly trying my best to get this working. I followed every step, imported the CSV members file and uploaded the photos. I’ve gone through every setting on the plugin and it all looks right to me. My page is “Dating” and these are the shortcodes I added –

    [rencontre][rencontre_libre][rencontre_imgreg][rencontre_login][rencontre_loginFB]

    But all the page shows is LogOut.

    I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

    Appreciate your help.

    Hi, i’m just another Rencontre user. The reason is most likely because you are logged in as admin to the dashboard. I always use a separate browser and login as an ordinary user to see what a user would normally see. Nigel

    Thanks webjoy. Progress. I opened an incognito window in Chrome and got a window to register. I created a new user with my email and got the confirming email. I logged in on the incognito window and got the dating menu, but also got a popup which was cut off but I think it said to complete my profile and showed “close” which I did. I didn’t see anywhere to complete my profile. I don’t see anywhere here to attach a file. ??

    I did a search but, of course, it resulted in nothing because my profile is for here in Mexico. I have downloaded the demo data and photos so is there anywhere I can view current members?

    Really appreciate your help.

    Hi, did you create the user within Rencontre / members or just a wp user? It needs to be in Rencontre via the admin dashboard. Yes the pop up window seems to get truncated. Once you create in Rencontre and login then you should be able to follow the 4 step to populate. If you see the menu item ‘edit my profile’ you should be able to make edits there also. Hope this helps. I’m unsure how to add an attachment here.

    Yes, I went through the process of registering and did everything I saw on the profile, although one thing I didn’t see was where to add a photo. That popup confused me because I couldn’t find anywhere to add anything more to my profile. The popup comes up every time I log in.

    Hi, i think i should let Jacques answer this as i’m unsure. If i could see what you are doing then i might be able to help but this is not the place for me to ask your for your wp & login credentials. nigel
