• Hello,

I just downloaded and tried to install WordPress into Firefox, but I am not able to as I get this error message

    Error: PHP is not running

WordPress requires that your web server is running PHP. Your server does not have PHP installed, or PHP is turned off.

Can anyone please advise on how to fix this error?

    Thanks!

  • WordPress is a content management system/ blog software designed to be used on a web server. Fonglh is right – you need to find a hosting company . I’m confused at what you mean you;re trying to install WordPress into firefox. FireFox is your web browser.

    I hope this help!

    Thanks

    Thanks Guy’s!

I am doing alot of reading and see that it must be done thru a web server/hosting account
I was hoping to check it out before committing to a hosting pkg.

I did find a USB solution (called Instant WordPress)to do so, but have not had time to try it yet.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hey jrlowey,

There are ways to set up WordPress locally and develop it on your local computer. You may want to look into that. Then once its built in your Dev environment you can migrate your work over.

    I hope this helps!

    Thanks!
