I’m very new to WordPress and web management in general. I’m following some online tutorials on using WPvivid to regularly back up my website and test plugin updates in staging environments. The instructions across a few tutorials say I need to:
    1) Download the plugin via WP admin
    2) Download the WPvivid files (free/basic version) from the plugin website directly
    3) Upload these files via WP admin

After following step 1 though it looks like I already have the basic version ready to go with backup and staging available. I also cannot find a place to upload files in step 3 anyway, say if I purchased one of the pro versions instead of using the basic version that was downloaded in step 1.

So my first question is: Is there no need to download the basic version from the website?
Second question: If I wanted to upgrade to a pro version how do I bring those downloaded files into my WP?

Here is an example of one of the YouTube tutorials I’m following: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0yzcL5Pnryc

    Hi @fodyfilms

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Like installing all other free WordPress plugins, to install the free version of WPvivid backup plugin, you don’t need to go through the step 2 and 3, just step 1 is enough. Here is also a tutorial on how to install a plugin on a WordPress website.

For pro version questions, please feel free to contact us via this form. Because in this forum, we are not permitted to offer support for pro version.

    All the best,
