Today updating the plug-in failed. Not visible in Plug-in list any more. Installing updated version of the plug-in failed. Error message: Installation failed: Destination folder already exists.
What to do now? Ik hope the forms I made before the updating will still be there?

  • Sorry to hear that @mccage. Could you recall how did you try to install the updated version ? Did you go from lite to pro version ? You aimed to deactivate and delete the plugin from your plugin list in the back end of the WP and install the fresh file . Other than that give a try to replace the zip via FTP. And let me also mention that you are safe to delete the plugin and not lose data in till you delete it. When you UNINSTALL it, this will cause the data to be erased. Let us know about your progress .

The update was done in the backend, update-core page, plugins as I normally do wthout any problem:

The following plugins have new versions available. Check the ones you want to update and then click “Update Plugins”.

I did not upgrade to the pro version. I will try the FTP methode later.

    Dear McCage,

Thank you for the additional information.

Please, keep us updated about the results.

    Thank you

Success. I did unpack the zip and place files and folders in the still existing ‘forms-contact’ folder. The form I made came to life again. Thanks.
