Installation Error

Has someone tested this plugin for compatibility with 4.8.1? I attempted to install and receive an error:

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /home/…/scormcloud/ui/scormcloudcatalogwidget.php on line 15

I used the backend installation tool as well as uploaded the plugin files. Both give me the same error. Any help is appreciated?
