When I try to install WP using Fantastico from my cPanel I get an error message that says:

“The installation can not be completed:

    – You cannot install more than one script in the root directory of a domain.”

As far as I can see all I am trying to do is to install my domain name.

How do I work round this problem please?

OK, so I got round that problem by removing the entire installation and starting again.

Now I have a new problem – when the installation is completed I get a message saying: “You need a username and a password to enter the admin area. Your username is ‘adrian’. Your password is ‘xx00xx00xx’ The full URL to the admin area (Bookmark this!): https://sitename.info/wp-admin/”

The problem is that when I click on the bookmarked url I get this error message: “The system cannot find the file specified.”

How do I work round this problem please?

Check if you have right permissions on the folders they should be 755 and files need to be 644
