Installation. Can Polylang be installed from dashboard WP plugin page?

Hello. following your installation instructions to ‘download’ and upload using FTP.

Is there a special reason to do it this way and avoid just using the wordpress find plugin, “add” new plugin facility and then clicking ‘activate’ from within the dashboard?
