Install with another database.

  • Hello.

    I have losed mi wordpress folder. I have only a database backup.

    So i want to reinstall the wp and not to lose all my post.

    I do a fresh install and after that in remove the new data base and I replace it with the old one. (The data base name , user name and passwords for new data base and old data base is the same) . Wen I access my blog I see again the installation guide.

    Can anybody help me with an explanation to my pronlem?

    What should I do to have my Blog back if I have the backup only for data base?

  • try put back your old database

    download wordpress, take wp-config-sample.php, rename it to wp-config.php
    edit it ( set user/pass.. etc ) and overwrite it on the ftp

    should work

    note: the wordpress version that you were using was 2.6.1 ?
