install themes…. failed to connect to ftp server

  • Hi When I am in themes in the wp control panel I have tried to upoad a theme that I have in zip format in my downloads
    I click install and it takes me to a page where I have to enter my FTP credentials
    I have more than triple checked that I am putting in the correct info which is the same info I put into Filezilla (windsurf.zxq.net windsurf_zxq plus my password), I have even copied and pasted the FTP information from my host Zymic to make sure it is correct.
    On the connect information page I click proceed and then get this message…
    Failed to connect to FTP Server https://www.windsurf.zxq.net:21
    To perform the requested action, WordPress needs to access to your web server. Please enter your FTP credentials to proceed. If you do not remember your credentials, you should contact your web host.
    Any ides where I am going wrong ?

    It doesn’t matter I ended up installing it through my ftp filezilla.
    But I really would have like to have been able to do it through the wp control panel.
