I successfully installed site kit by Google this plugin, but which Analytics has not been able to complete the link, the progress bar has been showing that connecting to the service is never completed, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, resetting and linking again, all to no avail, how do I fix it? This is too difficult for a non-professional IT person. Can anyone help me to solve this issue? Thanks a lot

Hi @shane1413, thanks for opening your own topic that’s much appreciated. I’d be happy to look into this further for you. To do this, please can you share the following:

    1. Your?Site Health information. You can?use this form?to share privately if preferred.??
    2. When setting up Analytics, are you creating a new property or are you using an existing property?
    3. Do you encounter the same from an?Incognito window?

Could you also try following our troubleshooting steps here to see if you are able to complete Analytics setup while in troubleshooting mode with just Site Kit active.

Once you have shared the information above I can help by suggesting some next steps to take. If you have any questions in the meantime then let me know.

Hi Adam,Thank you for replying. Sorry about Late reply due to time difference.

    More info below

    1. I’ve submited the form already.
    2. In terms of property, you mean, the login account? I used an existing accout to login and connect to Google. Sorry, I’m not a professtional IT, I don’t know if I reply you correctly.
    3. I’ve tried and encountered from an?Incognito window but it doesn’t work.

@shane1413 Thank you for sharing the information that’s very helpful indeed. Your Analytics property is used to collect data for your website. When connecting the Analytics module in Site Kit you will be asked to select a Google account. Once you select your account you can choose to use an existing Analytics property to collect your site data or Site Kit can create you a new Analytics account and property. Did you get this far in the process?

If you could share a recording of this then that will help me to see where you get to in the process. You can use a service such as Loom to capture a recording and share the video URL here.

You can also try adding the Analytics code manually to your site which did work for a previous user who recently faced a similar issue to yours. To do this, follow the steps highlighted here.

Could I also check once more if you tried following the troubleshooting steps I sent to you as you didn’t mention this in your previous response?

@shane1413 Thank you for sharing that is very helpful. No problem at all. I can see that you are using the Breeze plugin on your website. Could I ask you to try disabling this plugin temporarily and trying to complete the Analytics setup once more?

    (@shane1413)

Adam, I disabled Breeze, and tried to complete the Analytics one more time, but it still doesn’t work. Keeps showing connect service.

@shane1413 Thanks for confirming this. Could I please ask you if you see any console errors while you are stuck on the Analytics loading screen?

    (@shane1413)

There is no any error. It keeps showing connect service but no any changes, I can’t move forward to the next step.

@shane1413 Could you please try going to this URL which will create a temporary test WordPress site for you with Site Kit pre-installed. Could you try setting up Site Kit on this site and try connecting the Analytics module to see if you encounter the same issue as on your site?

    Thread Starter shane1413

    (@shane1413)

I tried, as you mentioned. It’s the same as my website. Keeps showing connect service but no any changes and can’t move to next step as while.

@shane1413 I have discussed this with the team internally and we think this may be related to an update made in the last release. We are testing this now to confirm this and will aim to get a fix out as soon as possible.

In the meantime, if you wanted a workaround then you could revert back to the previous version of Site Kit. To do this you can go to this page, scroll to the bottom and select a previous version of Site Kit.

Once I have an update on the issue I will let you know here.

@adamdunnage I intalled a old version Analyctis successfully, but a new issue is coming, when I set the site map, the system warned me”Invalid sitemap address, please enter a valid path to a sitemap in your site.” I don’t know what happened, Do you know what can I do? thanks.

@shane1413 Unfortunately we’re limited to Site Kit support queries here in the plugin forums. With regards sitemaps the product experts at the?Search Console Help Center?would be able to assist more than we can here in Site Kit plugin support.

I hope you can get your answers here but if you have any further questions related to Site Kit I will be happy to help you with those.
