install problems, can’t login

Hi all:
I have created several WordPress sites and no problems. I am working on a new one now and have uploaded all files successfully and the tech support at the host says all files have the proper permissions, ie. read / write. Once installed I was given an encrypted password from WP, copied and pasted it in a separate file.
Tried to login to do the usual work and get the following….
Directory Listing Denied
This Virtual Directory does not allow contents to be listed.

Any ideas what to do now???
