Install problems

  • OK, so I’m 99.9% sure I’ve filled in my information correctly in the wp-config.php, but I end up getting this error when going to my blog subdomain:

    {\rtf1\ansi\ansicpg1252\deff0{\fonttbl{\f0\fnil\fcharset0 Courier New;}} {\*\generator Msftedit 5.41.21.2507;}\viewkind4\uc1\pard\lang1033\f0\fs20 \par } ?
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: wp() in /home/ucmeta5/public_html/blog/wp-blog-header.php on line 18

    Any ideas what this is all about?

  • you sure did, you edited in Microsoft Word.

    Do NOT edit wp files inside any Microsoft application. Use a plain text editor.

    Get a copy of the sample wp-config, and do it again, without the help of MS.
