• I installed wordpress in my root directory but now the css is linking to a directory within a root/index folder. which for some reason wordpress didn’t created. I installed another wordpress in a root/index folder(which i created), but i can’t get anything to redirect you to the theme’s index.php file. whats strange is the theme works in chrome(maybe it was cached), but not in ie or firefox. I’ve been trying to fix this for a while, any help would be great.

Well, first of all your main index.php file is missing. Download WordPress again and upload the file.

I uploaded all the files into /index. I’m still missing an index.php file for the root directory though. Am I supposed to install it into another directory. Thats what I did last time and it worked.

it seems to be working now i added a index.php that linked to one in the /index folder will this cause any problem with things such as seo or anything else.

No, I don’t suppose it’ll cause any problems, as long as you want /index/ to be a part of your URLs.
