Install in subdirectory at same level as other sites?

  • Is it possible to install multisite into a subdirectory (ie not root and not subdomains), say /blog and then have the other sites at the same level e.g. /otherblog and /onemoreblog ?

    No, I haven’t tried yet. Mostly because I’m moving hosts. So, I can move 10 individual blogs over and maintain them separately, or I can give MS a go. The other problem is, although I’ve already bought the new hosting, I haven’t moved over the DNS etc, so I thought I could set up the MS in a subdirectory to test (with all the extra work to fix addresses afterwards), and if it’s a disaster, I could just import the separate blogs. Either way, it’s a lot of work, I guess. But MS would be a boon to maintenance time if I could make it work.
