    Hey all,

Just to be sure: Once I’ve installed wordpress, I assume I won’t need install-helper.php and install.php and that it’s safe to delete both?

    Thanks for the help!

    Regards,

  • It is safe to delete them, but please note that nothing ‘needs’ to be deleted WordPress is pretty secure as it stands. Whenever you decide to update your installation those files will come back though.

Ah, good to know. I’m used to deleting installation files from other programs for safety ?? so I assumed I would need to do that here too. Good to know I don’t need to do that.

And since they’ll be back after upgrade, as you say, there’s really no point in deleting them. I always update with new releases ??

    Thanks for the help!

    Regards,
