Hmmm…that’s strange. I’ve actually never seen that before.

I know that when I updated the plugin it took an unusually long time for the update to reflect in the plugin repo. I’m wondering if there are some issues going on in general with the WP plugin directory.

We’ll look into this and see if we can figure anything out, but please keep trying and see if it happens to work for you at some point.

@derek Neuts, what file is it saying isn’t found? And where are you seeing that? Can you provide a screenshot?

I just updated through the WP admin panel on one of my test sites and it worked as expected. I think the WP directory is just having some timeout issues or something.

Can you guys give it another try?

I have gotten word from others that it did indeed work after trying a few times.

Sorry I was out for a few hours but I’m back now in front of my laptop. Let me login to the website and give it another try. Thanks for replying!

@angelleye As of 8:14pm PST in Oregon, this plugin just updated as normal and there are no longer any issues. How strange!

Beforehand with the file not found message, it did not provide a file name, it just provided that generic message. Could’ve been a glitch today perhaps, but it’s working now.

    Thanks!

Glad to hear it, thanks for following up.

This update has failed 3 times, via WP CLI, via the dashboard GUI and via the plugin detail page which prompts for an update.

The error is the same, for example:

    Warning: Download failed. "Not Found"

Verifying the file isn’t reachable in the usual location:

Yet if you look at our plugin directory developer page it shows the current version 1.2.2 with the link to download, and that link uses the same URL you’re showing here, but it downloads just fine.

All the files are in the subversion repo correctly, and I have had confirmation from others that this happened to that it worked for them when they tried later.

Also, I noticed when I first pushed the 1.2.2 update that it took an unusually long period of time for it to actually show up on the plugin directory page, so it seems that WordPress has something going on their end from what I’m seeing.

Are you able to download using this link directly?

    Plugin Contributor angelleye

    (@angelleye)

Ha, just now I clicked the link I provided at the end of my last post to make sure it worked and I wound up getting the 404 not found.

I went back to the dev page to double check the URL and clicked there and it worked again just fine. Then I came back here and clicked this link again and it worked again as expected. That was all within about 30 seconds.

So something is definitely going on with the plugin server. ??

Same here, I got the message “not found”.
What if I download it manually and upload/overwrite the files on my ftp? I won’t lose any data, right?

    (@angelleye)

    That will work fine.

Either way you might run into that failure. It’s very sporadic right now. From the admin panel if you just keep retrying a few times it should end up working.

Same with the manual download. If it fails, just click it again. As I’ve been playing with it I’ve noticed it seems to be working for me about 6 out of 10 times. That’s just clicking the same link over and over again.

Great! Found my luck after 4 times trying ??

Ya know what, I’m actually just about to push a 1.2.3 that fixes another small bug in Express Checkout (only if you’re not passing line items to PayPal).

You may want to wait a few minutes.
