Install directory

  • I want install wordpress to my phb forum as a page. How would I go about installing it?

    If I installed it to my root, would that load wp as my homepage? Cuz I want the forum the main page. I dont know what options I have in this situation.

  • Whether it’s the root or a sub-directory, WordPress NEEDS to have its own directory. It can’t just be a page.

    It sounds like, in your situation, you need to create a sub-directory on your site called “blog” or something similar, and install WordPress there. Then you can just link to it from your forum.

    Yeah thats what I meant. I want it to be https://www.ronpaulforum.info/news
    I didnt know to install it to the main root folder. A new wordpress folder or the name I want it in. So I have to use my cpanel to add a domain.

    so /blog or /news
    And point the installation there.
