I recently migrated a wordpress site from a VPS not using CPanel to my server using CPanel and noticed that
the install plugins button is disabled.

Has anybody suffered a similar problem?

I am using version 5.1.1 of wordpress

I can’t think of any reason for the CPanel to affect that.

You didn’t accidentally (somehow?) migrate to a WordPress multisite, did you? That’s the only thing I can imagine causing that and you should probably know that happened or not.

I’d ask you to install the Health Check plugin but you can’t… You might also try uploading via FTP or the CPanel’s file manager. If you can upload it then you should be able to enable it.

File and directory permissions might be a place to check but I never thought WP would look at permissions until it tried at least one plugin install.

Let us know if you figure it out or have more questions and keep an eye on this thread in case anyone else has an idea.
