Instagram Problem OceanWP

  • Hello good morning, I am testing OCEANWP and I have a somewhat strange problem.

    Build the entire website and I have a problem with the Elementor-Instagram

    Until a few days ago it was working perfect.
    But I don’t know exactly when, it stopped working.

    The weird thing is the following
    If I put any instagram other than mine it works.

    If I install a clean version of WordPress and install OceanWP and put my instagram it works.

    At first I thought it was something of the Elemntor, but then I realized that the default instagram option does not come.

    Disable all plugins to see if it was incompatible but not.

    I tried to install an add-on to prove that it was not a problem for my Instagram user and the extra plugins worked without problem.

    I imagine that in some update something happened.

    I also thought that it could be that my Instagram user has a period in the name, but look for other users with a period and they work fine.

    The strange thing is that it hung and shows the hashtags of the publications but not the images, and the strangest thing is that it shows old publications everything new that is obviously not seen but neither are the hashtags of those publications.

    I also tried to remove OceanWP and reinstall it but it didn’t work either.

    Instagram is gradually restricting the use of its public API key due to general misuse and privacy policies (totally OceanWP unrelated), which means all users will be affected by this change by 2020. Find more info on the topic here: https://www.instagram.com/developer/

    You can create a new IG feed in Elementor using our Instagram Elementor widget which uses tokens (Theme Panel – My Library), and insert it on your website using Ocean Hooks or shortcodes via Text widgets.

    Generate your access token using the following link: https://oceanwp.org/instagram/

    Make sure that Disable implicit OAuth is unchecked in your API client settings.
    Add the following URL https://oceanwp.org/instagram/ as a redirect uri in your API client settings.

    I understand what you say but there is something that is not correct in what you propose.

    On my page after some update the images of “my” instagram stopped working.

    Now if in the instagram widgets I put the instagram of Nike, adidas, the instagram of anyone other than the emio, it works perfect.

    For what you tell me then instagram has only blocked my instagram to use in wordpress and the rest of instagrams not ???

    On the other hand to prove that you are totally wrong.

    I create a clean installation of WordPress, install oceanWP, put the instagram widget, put my instagram and there it works.

    Obviously I cannot install my site from 0. but that there is an error in his theme is more than clear and I am not the only one.

    To all who comment on this error happens with their own instagram.

    just one quesstion becuse I can’t find the Instagram Elementor widget in the theme panel. You have to upgrade to paid version your theme to have access to the widget?

    @mamacanfly Instagram widget is a free widget of the oceanwp. You can see it in the Appearance > Widgets section and all the widgets are shown in the Elementor editor as well.

    it’s me again. Is there a chance that the instructions about generating a access token have changed? I tried to follow the instructions on Istagram but the masks where completely different and I couldn’t find how to disable Implicit OAth.

    I’m sending again because I couldn’t find a solution to my problem.I followed your instructions but when I enter Instagram panel the “Registration a New Client” option is disabled.I tried an other way but I couldn’t disable implicit OAth. Is it there an other way to generate an access token? If I use the paid Instagram widget I’ll have the same problem?
