    Hey there,

we’ve been using the plugin to pull in an instagram feed for about 6 months now.
Recently, it’s stopped pulling in the latest posts/updating dynamically.

Clearing the plugin cache works – however, we don’t want to have to log in and clear the cache every time we post a new image to instagram.

Cache clearing on the plugin is set to 1 day, the shortest option. Sometimes we are waiting over a week and the feed has still not updated.

Can you advise what might be causing this?

Site is https://stinsonair.com.au/ ; Instagram feed is in the footer.

    Dee.

    Hey @tolkadot

First, Do you have any other caching plugins installed or is your hosting provider adding some type of server cache to the server?

Secondly, Try going to your instagram account and then click the settings gear icon so you see the popup of options.

Now click on the Authorized Apps option.

Once on the next page click Revoke Access under the Feed Them Social App.

Now go back to the Instagram Options page in our plugin and click the button to get a new access token.

Lastly, Try Clearing the cache by clicking to Feed Them tab > Settings > Global Options > Clear cache

Be sure to clear any other Caching plugins you may have installed also.

Let me know how it goes.

    Thanks,
    Justin

Thanks for getting back to me Justin.

    1) Yes we are using WP Rocket. Cache clearing is set to 10 hours.
There is no js concatination being used, so the plugin js is being loaded as is.

    2) Yes, clearing the cache works, but we don’t really want to have to go in and clear the cache every time we post to instagram. We’ve also gotten a new API key (access token is working), that also works, but this has been ongoing for a while now. The feed just won’t update unless we manually clear the cache. . .
Last posted image on site was 10 October. There have been 6 image on insta since then.

We currently have Cache Time set to one day ago.

What does the ‘clear cache on every page load (Developers only)’ cache setting do?
Is it worth giving this a try, obviously I don’t want to add to the load speed of the page, so will keep that in mind.

    Any other ideas ?

    Dee.
