Instagram Feed Deprecation Notice — what about “creator” accounts?

  • I’m currently using the free version of this plugin on 4 different client websites, and am seeing the deprecation notice on all of them warning me about how “Personal” accounts will stop working in December, and that I’m going to need to reconnect them as “Business” accounts.

    We currently do not have neither a “Personal” nor “Business” account, but instead have a “Creator” account. Does this mean that we will no longer be able to use this plugin? If not, then could someone here please talk me through the process of reconnecting our account as a “Business” account?

    Hi @ygagnon2016,

    Thank you for contacting us! The new Instagram Business Basic and Business Advanced connections will not affect your Instagram Creator profile. However, if you had previously connected your feed through your Instagram account, you will need to reconnect your feed with the latest version of the plugin as the connection method used used to connect feeds through your Instagram account in previous versions of the plugin is being phased out.
