Instagram declining your app
-
When requesting the “basic” permission I have been denied twice explaining that the app is needed to provide feeds to my websites visitors through your plugin. The response refers me to this:
General issues:
Invalid Use Case: The use case described in your submission notes, screencast and website is not a valid use case that we allow on our Platform. Please see our Permissions Review and valid use cases description (https://www.instagram.com/developer/review/) for more information. When reading this, the “use case” I described is completely valid so the only other reason I can think of is they do not like that your plugin requires each user to set this up on their developer platform as if the users of your plugin are developers themselves looking to build rich interactive apps which is obviously not the case. Other instagram feed like plugins simply ask for a hash or username or a simple one-time oauth pop-up (see my other thread about the “authorize” button missing).
It’s really bumming me out how difficult and time consuming it is to setup a feed grid showing the recent posts of my client’s fb, twitter and instagram feeds.
