• Plugin works, but Instagram saw the one post I made from WordPress and banned my account from following or liking anything for a week. I suspect this is because the post was coming from a different location (where the site is hosted) compared to where I usually post from. Instagram thought it was an automated following service of some kind.

It’s been a huge hassle. Sadly, I can’t recommend this plugin for that reason.

Edit: Upgrading to 2 stars because I’m not sure if this is what caused my issue.

    Hello @darksquirrel

If Instagram have any issue with location, it simply will not let you connect from plugin and will raise ‘challenge required’ message immediately.

Instagram bans if it has any issues with the post content. Or if you have many tags in your post. Or if someone report your post or content.

I recommend, better to confirm the actual reason from Instagram for banning the account rather assumptions.

Hmm… I admit I’m not an Instagram expert. I only made one post with the plugin, and it had no hashtags, just a short description of the photo. There was nothing there that would get it flagged. I submitted a help request and told them what I thought was going on, how I’d used a wordpress plugin, etc. Later that day the account notice changed to say the ban would last one week. The account is pretty new and only has photos I’ve taken, nothing offensive etc. I never got a challenge required message. ??

OK. Well if you are not receiving challenge required ad still connected successfully through the plugin then Instagram have no issue with your login location.

Whatever the reason, we hope and wish to get your account back soon.
Please update us if you get any reason or response regarding ban from Instagram. It will help others too.

Dear @qsheeraz How serious do I need to take this problem some users are experiencing? I am planning to use your (so far great) plugin to schedule our posts. My account was connected successfully and the first three posts seem to work seamlessly. @darksquirrel Did you have any other reaction from Instagram, as to why they banned you?

    Thanks!

Dear @thisissaf we are also waiting for the response from Instagram to @darksquirrel to see what’s the reason.

About this plugin, well its just a simulator of the Instagram App. Logging through the plugin is just like logging from web site of Instagram or logging from another mobile device. That’s why sometimes Instagram asks for ‘challenge require’ to verify your new location.

Instagram bans accounts on different violations of postings. Or there may other reasons.

We receive 4 to 5 emails daily at our support email who do not use our plugin but they want help for their Instagram App issues like ban or challenge require or other issues. There are 7000+ free users using this plugin and many pro users with no issue.

So hopefully you would have no issue using it. We will just suggest that don’t use too many tags, don’t use long text and don’t do too many postings through plugin in short period of time or something which act like spam.
We will wait for your feedback about it.

Let us know if you need any help or support in future.

    Regards

I never heard from Instagram about why my account was temporarily banned; I don’t think they respond to questions like that. I’ve read that you can get banned for many reasons, some of which look like no reason; they are pretty common evidently. So I can’t be sure why it happened.
