Inside the book effect

Hi, I would like to create a “look inside the book effect” where someone can click on the cover of the book and it will link to the next image (ie. page in the book) and so on … I have looked at all the plug-ins and they seem to be very elaborate in that they have fast forward buttons etc. That would be fine, but they take up the entire width of my page. I am looking for something simpler that I could insert to the left of the page – the same way you insert any image. Any ideas?
