    there is reason for that: all microdata must be wrapped. so at this point it is placed in body of page. Still looking for best solution to put them in head, but since there are too many themes with bad code, content body is safest place for now.
    Will write post about this on https://simplemediacode.info blog.

    About blank space: will add CSS class in next verion. Don’t how it disappeared as it was in my mind from beginning ??

    new in 3.2.0: CSS class="itempropwp-wrap"
    by default CSS is:

    .itempropwp-wrap{
    	padding:0;
    	margin:0;
    	overflow:hidden;
    	display:inline;
    }

    made another update (3.2.1), to remove whitespace from content. Might help!
