Our developer’s on an extended break for health reasons and I’m not hugely experienced with WP coding, can someone at least tell me if the following is possible? Basically I’d like to automatically insert a newsletter sign up box into all our posts so that it appears fairly early on in the content (e.g. after the first or second paragraph) – is there a way to do this by editing the theme template somehow?

When it comes to websites and WordPress especially, most things are possible, as long as you have the skill to do it ??

    Yes, but see above.

If you’re not a developer, use a plugin to do this. When your developer returns, you can then discuss with them about writing custom code if you don’t want to keep the plugin.

Free plugins like Ad Inserter and Insert Post Ads can do this. (Ignore the “Ad” in their names and description: they can insert any custom HTML code or WordPress shortcode.)
